Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe announced that the release date of Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition is set for January 11, 2019 on PC , PS4, Switch and Xbox One.
Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition includes an upscaled resolution, characters, events and costumes never released outside Japan and introduces two new playable members in the party: Flynn Scifo, the rival of the protagonist and his best friend, and Patty Fleur, a young pirate in search of his lost memory.
Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition uses a special version of the Linear Motion Battle System of the Tales Of series. Players control a single member of the party in real-time fighting, while the other 3 characters are controlled by a custom set of commands handled by Artificial Intelligence. Players can move from one of the four characters to another at any moment of the battle and can use physical attacks, spells or even the powerful Mystical Arts.
Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition is a re-edition of the eponymous chapter characterized by a increase in resolution and new characters, events and customs introduced directly in the main package, some of these never released outside of Japan.
The story stages the adventures of Yuri Lowell, a citizen of the Lower Quarter of Zephias and former Imperial Knight who accepts a special mission in which he is required to recover the stolen Blastia Core, normally used to control the water supplies of his neighborhood. From this seemingly simple mission, a series of events take place that bring Yuri into contact with many characters and explore a large number of different settings, to face a threat to the entire world.
Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition contains two new playable characters unpublished in the West: Patty Fleur, a young pirate in search of her lost memories and Flynn Scifo, best friend but also a rival of Yuri, as well as additional scenarios and new locations. Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition uses a special version of the Linear Motion Battle System by Tales of, which allows you to control the characters individually in real time with the others controlled by artificial intelligence, being able to pass at any time from control of one another.
